The general health insurances in Austria usually cover the costs of the iron ampoule. For the Wiener Gebietskrankenkasse (WGKK), Loha for Life will request an authorization by the chief physician.

How many IV iron infusions will I need?

The number of intravenous iron infusions that a patient might need can only be established by analyzing the blood test.

Do I need a referral from a GP?

You do not need a referral in order to schedule an appointment at Loha for Life.

Is it possible for me to book an appointment, even if I have not recently undergone a blood test?

This is no problem, as we are happy to schedule you in for a blood test at Sanatorium Döbling.

How do the cost calculations work when seeing a private doctor in Austria?

General health insurance in Austria will only cover a part of the costs, while many private health insurance companies will pay up to 100%.

Can I pay by credit- or debitcard?

Yes, you can of course pay in cash, by credit card or debit card.
